TDHCA Texas First Time Homebuyer Program

One of my lenders from San Antonio had been keeping me up to date on this program and now that we know for sure that the program is back and there are funds available, I wanted to make sure to let you know. One of my designations stems from these programs. I am an Affordable Housing Specialist therefore I work with lenders who know the programs that enable my buyers to purchase homes utilizing programs that make the most of what is available to purchase; be it down payment assistance, grants, etc. Below is the information straight from the TDHCA website that discusses a little bit more about what the program is. The main thing to remember is that the fund are on a first come first serve basis and you do have to take a first time buyer education course. Here in Corpus Christi you can take that course through the Neighborhood Services Department at City Hall. The class is held every first Saturday and is usually full.
